About the Company:

We are a leading manufacturer known for our commitment to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. As we continue to grow, we’re looking to strengthen our engineering team with the addition of a skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our production equipment and systems running at optimal performance. You will carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment across our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine mechanical maintenance and fault-finding on production machinery

  • Carry out breakdown repairs to minimize downtime

  • Participate in PPM schedules and continuously look for improvement opportunities

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and gearboxes

  • Support and collaborate with other engineering and production teams

  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations

What We're Looking For:
  • Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Strong mechanical skills with a working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment

  • Ability to read technical drawings and fault-find effectively

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Flexibility to work shifts and respond to breakdowns as required

Desirable (But Not Essential):
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques

  • Basic electrical knowledge or a dual-skilled background
