New contract opportunity for a Principal Quality Engineer based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, with our Aerospace and Defence Client.
Job Title: Principal Quality Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Type: 12-month contract (potential for extension and permanent prospects)
PAYE: £35/hour + £5.09 Holiday Pay
Umbrella: £47.12/hour
Pattern: 37hrs per week, Remote, The role involves auditing suppliers, so candidates need to be prepared to travel to suppliers 4 – 5 days/week, travel, accommodation and meals will be reimbursed and it's likely that overtime will be available.
Knowledge:
Understanding and application of ISO 9001/ EN9100 standards
Subject Matter Expert (SME) own discipline within Quality and a broad understanding of other Quality related disciplines
Understanding of Business Management Systems, Operational Framework and Operational Assurance process
Knowledge of and experience of product safety, in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding the importance of cross functional integration across the Business Unit to achieve overall goals of the Function
Qualifications:
(Candidate does not need all)
PCN level 2 (as a minimum) in NDT (UT, DPI, MPI or radiography)
ICORR or NACE level 2
CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2
Audit to iso 9001:2015 or AS 9100
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance, SC must be in place before start date.
