Morson is recruiting Platers for a 12-month contract in Barrow in Furness, contingent upon security clearance and a trade test.
Candidates must have a recognized plater apprenticeship, preferably in shipbuilding, and experience in heavy metal and industrial environments.
The role involves using power-assisted tools, self-verifying welds, and adhering to safety standards related to welding.
Local candidates can expect a pay rate of £23.28 PAYE for a 3 on 4 off shift pattern, while non-local candidates will earn £31.28 PAYE.

Requirements: Apprenticeship Certificate, Time served

What you'll be doing:
• Safely using both power assisted and Industrial powered tools
• Self-Verification on all welds
• Adhering to all SHE related standards associated with welding, including fume control
Your Skills and Experience:
• Must have a recognised plater apprenticeship (Preferably ship building)
• Comfortable working in confined areas and at a great height
• Heavy Metal and Industrial experience
• Knowledge of following technical drawings, instructions and other specifications

Rates
Local - 3on 4off - £23.28 PAYE
Non Local - 3 on 4off - £31.28 PAYE

Various shift patterns are available; nights, standard, 3on 4off.
