Job Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will lead a team of 8 Multiskilled Engineers, oversee daily site inspections, audits, and ensure maintenance services are efficiently delivered. This is primarily an office-based role but will require hands-on support to engineers when needed. You will also stand in for the FM site lead during holidays or sickness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in line with service agreements via the CAFM system.

  • Conduct daily inspections, audits, and walk-rounds to monitor maintenance performance.

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, delivering training, Toolbox Talks, and safety briefings.

  • Review in-house work for quality and compliance, ensuring safe systems of work.

  • Manage subcontractors, HR issues, staffing levels, and ensure team development.

  • Foster a strong relationship with clients and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.

  • Assist engineers with technical support as required.

  • Stand in for the FM site lead when necessary.

  • Complete monthly reports, track KPIs, and ensure equipment is well-maintained.

  • Communicate company updates to the team and attend departmental meetings.

Qualifications

  • IOSH Managing Safely.

  • Recognized engineering qualifications (M&E) - essential.

  • Experience in a supervisory role within maintenance.

  • Familiarity with CAFM systems.
