Required experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or STEM degree)
  • Knowledge of undertaking structural design calculations (i.e. bolted joints / bending moment / shear stress)
  • Understanding of material strength properties and limits (elastic and plastic properties)

My client are a large and rapidly expanding global Defence company looking for a Structural Engineer to ensure structures and equipment are verified against naval shock requirements. You will support requirements for sub systems to ensure overall boat requirements are met. You will also support sub-system maturity in relation to naval shock and will provide design guidance to both internal and external stakeholders at design reviews.
