CNC Turners or Millers – Prog/Setter/Ops

Cumbria 

4-day week, 07:30-18:00 (Mon-Weds) 07:30-16:00 (Thurs) + overtime available

Our client:

One of the UK’s premier subcontract manufacturing providers to the Aerospace & Defence industries. Out of their 70ksqft facility in Barrow, they hot forge, mill, turn, grind and thread roll complex & high precision components and manage their clients’ requirements for special processes and additional capabilities.

Due to orderbook growth, an increase in projects and projects being brought forward, they’re currently looking for both Millers & Turners at Programmer and Setter/Operator level to strengthen their extremely knowledgeable machining teams.

The role:

Working across their high-spec Doosan and XYZ machines, you will input, improve and prove (online) high-complexity programmes that allow the machines to consistently output components accurate to 6-10microns.

You’ll work in a busy environment, taking responsibility across several NPI-stage projects and multiple machining centres, and will work towards implementing the most efficient programmes possible.

You:

Excellent experience of online programming milling machines using Fanuc & Siemens controls

Milling - Experience machining exotic Aerospace metals (Duplex, Inconel, Monel, etc)

Turning - A background in manual turning would be beneficial due to the thread rolling process & high accuracy of their machined components

The job:

4-day working week, Mon-Thurs, 38hrs (07:30-18:00 Mon-Weds, 07:30-16:00 Thurs)

Overtime available

£17-28ph
