Early Years Teaching Assistant

Full time - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm Term time

£88.94-£100 per day

Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in young children lives? We are currently seeking qualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to support a variety of primary schools across Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment, surrounded by enthusiastic colleagues and eager learners. As you will be working with young children, you will need enthusiasm, energy, a can do attitude, understanding and support to young children who are growing and developing social, emotional and mental skills. You will need to be open to working in and out doors amongst classes with paint, sensory activities and messy play. These pupils will still be working at an EYFS level and moving into a reception curriculum and may also be learning to toilet train and adapt to school life.

As we are recruiting for a variety of settings, we have a range of roles available from full to part time, all roles are temporary term time only between a working week of Monday - Friday within the hours of 8:30-3:30. Pay is between £88.94-100 per day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities as a early years teaching assistant.
  • Providing continuous development for all pupils.
  • Encouraging curiosity in learning.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families.

Ideal Nursery Nurse

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Previous experience working as a Early Years Assistant in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting their well-being and development.
