Junior Electrical Engineer

Cumbria - Hybrid Working - 2+ days onsite per week

As an Engineer within the electrical team, you will be responsible for supporting the build, test and commissioning, and in service safety of Royal Navy operational vessels.

What the role of the Junior Electrical Engineer entails:

Some of the main duties of the Junior Electrical Engineer will include:

  • Writing technical specifications and other technical documentation
  • Liaising and collaborating with external suppliers and the customer
  • Analysing and resolving engineering issues that occur during platform
  • Providing technical consultation to multi-discipline stakeholders on the electrical systems
  • Preparing technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations effectively

What experience you need to be the successful Junior Electrical Engineer:

Essential

  • Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance - UK Nationals Only
  • Qualified Electrical Engineer (ONC/HNC/HND/Degree level or appropriate experience)
  • Experience in the design of Electrical Systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of AC & DC Systems
  • Understanding of Power Generation, Distribution and Conversion Equipment
  • Experience working within the defence or heavy engineering sectors
