The role will support the development and/or implementation of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policy, systems and objectives for a business area or site(s). Core Duties Typical duties include: Ensuring timely and consistent advice, support, coaching and governance of SHE standards and legislation Supporting the development of an improved safety culture within the Submarines function and the SHE improvement programme Providing professional accountable interface with all stakeholders including functional leads, regulators, contractors, and customers Contributing to audits and accident/near miss investigations, producing comprehensive reports with root cause analysis Safety: The role holder is responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, ensuring high standards for safety, health and environment (SHE) in our organisation are maintained, understood, implemented and followed by their team. This includes co-operating and following all reasonable instruction, information and training reporting work-related hazards or incidents, using all equipment for the purpose intended, setting high standards for SHE, leading by example and establishing the expectation that others do the same promoting risk awareness, ensuring that risks are assessed and adequately controlled, encouraging the team to report incidents and defects and make suggestions to improve SHE standards and ensuring actions to address SHE issues are prioritised and resourced appropriately. More detailed responsibilities are captured within the Company Health & Safety Policy (759/OF/016) and the Company Environmental Policy (759/OF/029). Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Knowledge: Technical understanding of safety, health and environmental management standers and practice, and relevant  Systems processes and procedures. Focus on CDM regulations Experience supporting on a construction environment Skills: Experience delivering training or coaching Experience supporting the management and Health and Safety Risk processes in a high risk environment Audit and investigation skills Experience of working in a Construction environment or within the Submarine enterprise Qualifications: NEBOSH Certified (Expected) Behaviours What you do and how you do it are of equal significance.
