Project Controller

£40.00 - £52.78 per hour

 

Morson have an opportunity to support one of our defence clients as a project controller within their project planning department. You will be responsible for project monitoring, controls and reporting across various projects in the engineering industry. We are looking for someone with a strong background in project controls in the defence, aerospace, marine, nuclear or engineering industries.

The role is being offered on a 12-month contract, hybrid working Is available with a minimum requirement of 2 days a week on site in Barrow-in-Furness. We can offer the role at a rate £40 per hour PAYE or £52.78 per hour Umbrella.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform project reporting and scheduling, tying reports together to coordinate.
  • Query resolution of basic and routine problems.
  • Develop a knowledge of Business processes and procedures.
  • Control data management process, with some analysis responsibilities.
  • Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages.
  • Able to manage the processes on a full project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Applies appropriate methods and tools whether predictive approaches or adaptive approaches.

 

Requirements

  • Experience of managing project controls within an engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of control policies, processes, procedures and systems, including relevant tools and techniques.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of PM governance and assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
  • Problem solving techniques for situations of moderate complexity.
  • Work within standardised procedures and practices.
  • Able to communicate with varied stakeholders.

 

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
