Sonic Summary

Morson is recruiting Platers for a 12-month contract in Barrow in Furness, starting subject to security clearance.
Candidates must have a recognized welding apprenticeship, preferably in shipbuilding, and experience in heavy metal and industrial welding.
The role involves MIG and TIG welding, including pipe welding, and requires self-verification on all welds while adhering to safety standards.
The salary is £30.14 PAYE for local workers and £31.28 PAYE for non-local workers, with various shift patterns available.
Applicants should be comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights, with experience in welding different materials.

Morson are recruiting for Platers on behalf of our client in Barrow in Furness

The role is a 12 month contract with starts subject to security clearance.

Requirements: Apprenticeship Certificate

What you'll be doing:
• Welding Butts and Fillets to a high standard
• MIG and TIG welding- Pipe Welding
• Welding different materials (Carbon, Stainless steel and Aluminium)
• Safely using both power assisted and Industrial powered tools
• Self-Verification on all welds
• Adhering to all SHE related standards associated with welding, including fume control
Your Skills and Experience:
• Must have a recognised welding apprenticeship (Preferably ship building)
• Comfortable working in confined areas and at a great height
• Heavy Metal and Industrial experience
• TIG- Mirror Welding
• Knowledge of following technical drawings, instructions and other specifications

Rates
Local - 3on 4off - £30.14 PAYE
Non Local - 3 on 4off - £31.28 PAYE

Various shift patterns are available; nights, standard, 3on 4off.
