This role is integral to major projects within the submarine solutions domain, located in Barrow-in-Furness. Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and managing system requirements and ensuring their alignment with customer needs and project objectives
- Overseeing the acceptance processes for systems engineering projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality and compliance standards
- Leading systems engineering efforts, including technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support system development and implementation
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Preparing and presenting technical reports and documentation to stakeholders
- Monitoring and mitigating project risks to ensure successful project completion
- Maintaining a high standard of communication with customers, stakeholders, and team members
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Systems Engineer within the Defence & Security sector
- Proficiency in managing system requirements and acceptance processes
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to lead and influence technical teams
- Experience with technical documentation and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
