The Project Manager will support the delivery of Change initiatives within the Transformation and Change Programme, managing various projects to meet business needs. Candidates should have a degree or relevant qualification and preferably be PRINCE2 qualified, with strong analytical and communication skills. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in project management, utilizing methodologies like Agile and Waterfall. The position offers a salary of £55,000, along with benefits such as a bonus, pension, and 27 days of holiday.

Our client is a modern Financial Services provider with roots in its heartland, but with a growing national presence due to its digitisation strategy. The main purpose of the Project Manager is to support the delivery of Change initiatives within the Transformation and wider Change Programme that will underpin the short-term objectives and longer-term Business Strategy (5 Year Strategic Plan). This will involve the management and delivery of various projects to support this program. They will deliver against the business needs adhering to legal, risk and compliance requirements for regulatory, discretionary growth and system infrastructure changes. This will include Organisational change, Project and Transformation delivery and Operational Excellence.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager

  • To lead and project manage large-scale business and technology transformation projects
  • Utilise the application of Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrums etc. where appropriate, implementing governance frameworks.
  • Management of dependencies across major projects and change programs
  • Managing all aspects of delivery including project scope, timeline, risks, issues and budget.
  • This should also include support with business cases, producing PID’s and business realisation.
  • Organise people, tasks and resources to bring about a successful conclusion.
  • Drive implementation of best practice in risk policies and governance frameworks
  • Develop and foster clear and direct communication across the entire project team and wider audience where appropriate
  • Gather, validate / sense check and analyse complex, multiple and contradictory data to make objective interpretations, which are then summarised and simplified for the benefit of the business and stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience of the Project Manager

  • Degree or relevant qualification. Preferable to be PRINCE2 qualified or similar
  • Strong attention to detail, high standard of accuracy and analytical skills
  • Report writing and presentation skills at Board/Senior management level preferable
  • Understanding and experience of mortgage and savings would be advantageous
