I'm looking for a CAD Designer to join BAE Systems in Barrow, working on the Submarines programme as part of the Hull & Outfit team.
What you'll be doing:
- Working on the design and production of the 3D model of the whole boat primary structure
- Producing 2D drawing outputs to support the manufacturing and production teams in product build and delivery
- Collaborating as a team, sharing best practice and improving our product and design
Your skills and experiences:
- Previous experience within a design role with a background from a high hazard industry such as Civil, Structures, Marine, Oil & Gas environment/background
- Ability to use CAD Packages, particularly FORAN, NX and/or SolidWorks
- Knowledge of techniques, processes and tools for large scale detailed designs of platforms, assemblies, systems and equipment installation
This is a great role for someone with roughly 1-2 years experience and looking to get in with the leading Defence business in the UK.
The salary is £35,000 to £40,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
You MUST be eligible for SC Clearance to be considered for this position.
