Sonic Summary

The Mechanical Design & Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position is located in Barrow-in-Furness, requiring two days onsite each week.
The salary for this role ranges from £35,000 to £47,000, with additional overtime opportunities.
Candidates must possess a Mechanical Engineering Degree or a related STEM degree and have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
Key responsibilities include designing composite structures, conducting calculations and reports, and supporting junior engineers and installation activities.
Proficiency in MATLAB or MathCad and experience with SolidWorks or similar design software are essential for applicants.

What you'll be doing - Mechanical Design Engineer

Involved with the design of composite structures
Calculations and reports
Undertaking peer review checking activities to approve methods and calculations
Supporting technical development and research activities,
Supporting junior engineers within the team
Supporting installation activities in the production environment

Your skills and experiences - Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree)
Minimum of 2 years industry experience
Understanding of material strength properties (elastic and plastic properties)
Knowledge of MATLAB or MathCad
Experienced in the use of SolidWorks or similar design package
