BAE - Submarine Solutions (SS) is seeking a Lead Planning, Monitoring & Controls Professional specialised in Planning to join their team in Barrow on a contract basis. This role is within the Defence & Security sector, focusing on submarine solutions. You will play a vital role in project planning, monitoring, and controls, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining project plans using P6 planning software
- Monitoring project progress and reporting on key performance indicators
- Ensuring project controls are in place and adhered to
- Mentoring colleagues within a small-sized team
- Collaborating closely with other project team members and stakeholders
- Adhering to security requirements and ensuring SC clearance is maintained
- Providing accurate and timely updates to the hiring manager
- Supporting hybrid working, with two days on-site every fortnight
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in the use of P6 planning software is essential
- Experience in project planning, monitoring, and controls within the Defence sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to mentor and support colleagues within a small-sized team
- Security Clearance (SC) must be obtained before starting
