Are you ready to go above and beyond to ensure our customers receive a best-in-class experience?We’re looking for a Housing Partner (Housing Officer) to join our Housing Services team in Barrow. If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference for people and communities, then this is the role for you. Always motivated to achieve brilliant standards of service, our Housing Partners (Housing Officers) are the first point of contact for our customers. You’ll be a visible presence in your patch, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of tenancies and community. This involves working closely with the allocations and lettings team to onboard new customers. You’ll develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and build strong community bonds to make moments that matter every day.The spot salary for this post is £17,726 per annum (FTE £35,452) for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary. You’ll also receive an additional £1,250 essential car user allowance (pro-rata for part time).  You’ll receive: 
  • 28 days paid holiday plus bank holidays per year (pro-rata for part time) rising by 1 day per year up to a maximum of one working week. 
  • A choice of Pension Schemes including a Defined Benefit Scheme with a 7.5% member contribution or a Defined Contribution Scheme with a 4% member contribution and 4% employer contribution. Both pension schemes provide Life Insurance Cover. 
  • Option to purchase additional holiday of up to 2 of your working weeks (at managers discretion).

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Housing Partner?
  • Previous customer service experience, managing complex cases and working with vulnerable people ideally in a housing context.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate resilience and the ability to deal positively with change.
  • Ability to work under pressure and driven to go the extra mile to work through challenges to achieve positive outcomes for customers.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy when handling customer data in line with GDPR.
  • Flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel, you’ll have access to a vehicle for business use.
This role is subject to a successful DBS check.Interviews: will take place via Teams on Wednesday 27th November.This role involves travel to customer homes across your patch, in and around the Barrow area. You will also be required to travel to our Burnley office at least twice a month (every 2 weeks).We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home, as long as we meet our customer’s needs.
