BAE Systems are currently recruiting for an operations technician to join their team on a contract Basis.
Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Duration: Initial 12-month contract
Rate: £25 PAYE p/h (inside IR35)
Working Hours: 37-hour week, completed either on a 3on4off ( 3 12-hour shifts) or Monday to Friday. You will be expected to be on site a minimum of 80% of the time.

Typical Core Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for maintenance and validation of complex electrical/mechanical equipment in a timely manner.
- Provide support service to business products under construction and site facilities customers.
- Assist with maintenance reviews, providing appropriate technical advice as required.
- Assist with the development of, and where appropriate produce documentation to the required standard.
- Liaise with other departments and contractors as appropriate, fostering appropriate customer relations at all times.
- Provide on the job training, mentoring and development for other employees.
- Assist with the development and implementation of innovative process solutions.
- Attend meetings as required, ensuring that an active role is played.
- To be able to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measures.

If your application was to be successful, the Interview format will be over telephone with 10 min candidate intro to talk about their history followed by x3 technical questions and x4 competency-based questions. This will be an open conversation with questions expected to last 40-60mins.
