Experienced Crane Operator (Temp -Perm)

Stafforce are recruiting on behalf of our client for an opportunity to work as a Crane Operator on a temporary-permanent basis.

Shift pattern / Working hours

06:00am-18:00pm- Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £14.50 Per Hour

Role:

  • Operating various cranes inclusive of Mobile Harbour Cranes, Ships Gears, Jetty Cranes and Gantry Cranes
  • Discharging various cargo inclusive of bulk and break bulk
  • Using various attachments including Hook, Grab and Bromma
  • Operating a radio
  • Pre-shift checks and ensuring any concerns are raised
  • Quayside duties as required e.g. Slinger Banksman
  • Operating various plant and machinery including Shovels, Skid Steers and Forklifts as required

Candidate:

  • Previous experience operating cranes is essential e.g. Tower crane, Gottwald, Mobile harbour cranes, Material Handlers
  • Experience working within Ports is desirable however other sectors considered e.g. Construction, Offshore or Recycling industry
  • Previous experience operating heavy plant is desirable but not essential e.g. Loading Shovel, Skid Steer, Forklifts or Tugs
  • H&S conscious at all times 2
  • Keen to learn new skills and develop a career within ports
