Monday - Friday, Alternate week Saturday Shift

6am - 2pm, or 6am - 4pm, Flexible Shift Pattern

Are you looking for an integral role maintaining the operation of a Port? Do you have previous experience maintaining heavy plant and equipment? We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to help to ensure our client's Port operates safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reactive maintenance and repair on vessels in the port.
  • As this role is dependent on the vessels requiring reactive maintenance, shift pattern can vary.
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance efficiently.
  • You will be proactive in your approach to preventative maintenance.
  • Reporting all faults and defects in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all electrical/maintenance equipment is compliant with current standards and legislation.
  • You will be needed to fault find breakdown and performance issues.
  • Resolving unplanned failures safely and in a timely manner to meet operational targets.
  • Proposing tactical solutions to ensure activities stay on schedule.

The Candidate;

Required:

  • You will have previous experience maintaining heavy plant and machinery in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Used to working effectively as part of a team in a critical and busy environment,
  • Possess excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate safe working practices.
  • You be qualified to ONC/OND level in Electrical Engineering will be a working AP(LV)
  • Demonstrate commitment to maintaining Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety is at the forefront of all activities.
  • A full UK driving licence is also required.
