The role involves overseeing design coordination and management across a range of construction projects, ensuring designs are delivered on tme, within budgets, and meet quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of design processes, and the abiity to collaborate effectively with clients, contracts, and design teams.
Key Responsibilities of a Design Manager / Senior Coordinator
- Manage and coordinate the design prcess from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Oversee the production of design documents, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Monitor design progress, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess design implementation and provide technical support.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth integration of design and construction activities.
- Manage relationships with external consultants, architects, and design teams.
Requirements of a Design Manager / Senior Coordinator
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Coordinator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of design processes, construction methods, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
