Academics is seeking a school Caretaker for a fantastic opportunity in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The role involves general upkeep of school grounds, including maintenance, cleaning, and security management.
Candidates should have basic DIY skills, be reasonably fit, and possess the right to work in the UK.
The position offers a salary ranging from £14 to £16 per hour, with hours from 07:00 to 09:00 and 15:15 to 17:45.
Previous experience in a similar role is required, along with two references and an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check.

Academics are working in partnership with a fantastic school who have an amazing opportunity for a school Caretaker. The right candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep of the school grounds. This includes clearing the grounds of all rubbish, leaves and snow / ice as appropriate, opening and closing the school ect.

The successful candidate will also be doing the following:

Setting the priorities for maintenance and repairs
Carrying out basic repairs
Managing access to the premises and maintaining security
Cleaning or supervising cleaning
Planning site use and development
Championing health and safety around the school, and supervising external contractors
Managing site staff

Experience, Training & Qualifications

Be able to work flexibly
Have basic DIY skills
Be reasonably fit to cope with the lifting and carrying involved
Right to work in UK
