About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our vibrant nursery team in a primary school in Barry. The ideal candidate will have experience working with early years children and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the nursery teacher in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Support the development and learning of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Provide individual and group support to children, encouraging their social, emotional, and educational growth.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to the nursery teacher.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with early years children, preferably in a nursery or primary setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
