Production Technician – Barry

Salary: £26,000 P/A

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are seeking an experienced production Technician to join a large manufacturing company based in Barry.

As a Production Technician, you will play an integral role within the production team, primarily focusing on assembling the company’s products. This includes working with both mechanical and electronic components, with occasional tasks involving the soldering of electronic parts.

The position offers diverse assembly work where quality is a top priority, providing you with opportunities to enhance and develop your technical skills.

Main Duties:

  • Technical education and work experience from assembly or similar technology / electronics related manufacturing.
  • Mechanical and technical skills, with good hands-on ability.
  • Good soldering technique.
  • understanding of stock process and able to account for material
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in an electronic assembly environment.
  • Knowledge of various computer Operating Systems (desirable)
  • Previous experience of using test software / programming tools  (desirable)

About You:

  • Team-player and social skills; comfortable working in a team or independently
  • A positive mindset and coachable.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to read technical work instructions, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Prepared to, if necessary, visit and attend training in Europe.
  • Willing to undergo and pass UK security vetting.
