A regional leader in the provision of passive fire protection services is looking for an experienced fire door surveyor to join their team on a contract basis. You will be working on a social housing projects, assessing existing door sets and writing reports/recommendations upon review. The works are based across South Wales and will predominantly be across Barry and Cardiff.
The successful candidate will have:
- Valid CSCS card
- FDIS Diploma (desired)
- At least two years working on fire door surveys
- Experience with both visual inspections and intrusive surveys
- A background in carpentry/joinery (desired)
- Own tools and transport
- Experience working in the social housing sector
- Experience working with recording software such as Hilti, Bolster or Boris (desired)
Roles and responsibilities
- Carry out both intrusive and non-intrusive fire door surveys
- Advise on recommendations and remedial actions based on findings
- Take accurate measurements for new door sets to be ordered from the manufacturer
- Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
- Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
- Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
- Liaise with customers and members of the general public

- 240.00 per day based on 8 hrs worked
- Mileage, parking, congestion charges all reimbursed weekly
