A lovely Primary School in Barry are seeking an experienced and caring Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism in a Key Stage 2 class. The successful candidate will be able to build a strong and positive relationship with the pupil, parents, and school staff. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the pupil to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills, and provide additional support to help them access the curriculum.

Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 support to the pupil with autism in the classroom and during break times

* Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil, parents, and school staff

* Implement the pupil's IEP and contribute to regular reviews and updates

* Work closely with the SENco to identify and address any areas of need or concern

* Support the pupil's transition between lessons and activities

* Assist with preparing materials and resources for lessons

* Maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and achievements

You Will Need

  • Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • UK Drivers licence (Desired)
