Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Specialist Resource Base (SRB)
Specialising in Autism and Behavioural Challenges

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our Specialist Resource Base (SRB), which supports pupils with Autism and behavioural challenges within a nurturing primary school environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with Autism and behavioural needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.


Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
  • Proven ability to manage and support challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).


Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a 1:1 support role.
  • A recognised Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
  • Additional training or qualifications related to Autism or behaviour management.
