Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable catering assistants to join our team in The Vale of Glamorgan. As a catering assistant, you will support the kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals, ensuring a high standard of food hygiene and customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with food preparation and cooking
Serving food and beverages to students, staff, and visitors
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
Following health and safety regulations
Reporting any issues to the kitchen supervisor

Requirements:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Good communication skills
Flexibility to work up to 20 hours per week, including mornings or evenings
Screening and an enhanced DBS check are required
