Production Technician

Location: St Athan, Barry, Wales
Hours: 08:00 to 16:30 - Paid OT
Salary: 26,000 to 27,000 - Yearly Salary review.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Production Technician, you will:

  • Working with both mechanical and electronic components.
  • Perform soldering of electronic components as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Who You Are:
To succeed in this role, you should be a hands-on, technically inclined individual with strong attention to detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are highly organized, and excel both independently and as part of a team.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical education and/or experience in assembly or electronics-related manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills, with excellent hands-on abilities.
  • Proven soldering experience and understanding of stock processes.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in an electronic assembly environment.
  • Ability to read technical instructions, manuals, and drawings.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Flexibility to attend training at in Sweden if required.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass UK security vetting.

Preferred (but not essential) Experience:

  • Familiarity with various computer operating systems.
  • Experience using test software or programming tools.
