Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional learning needs? We are currently recruiting for multiple long-term roles across a range of educational settings in Barry.

Academics are looking for experienced and passionate ALN TA's to join our team. We have opportunities available in primary schools, secondary schools and special schools for candidates looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils.

Your role responsibilities:

  • Provide individual / small group support to pupils with a range of ALN's.
  • Assist pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, helping them achieve their academic and personal development goals.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt lesson plans and activities to suit individual needs, ensuring pupils can fully engage in the curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports pupils needs.
  • Use a variety of strategies and resources to support pupils with emotional, behavioural, physical, cognitive, and developmental needs.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, working closely with teachers, parents, and other outside organisations.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people with ALN.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills, with the ability to maintain calm and support in challenging situations.
  • A passion for making a difference and a proactive, patient approach to helping pupils succeed.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff to meet pupil needs.
