Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Barry, Vale of Glamorgan
Contract Type: Full-Time Temporary (Immediate start until July 2025)
Salary: 84 - 86 per day
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Barry. The successful candidate will provide support across various classrooms as needed, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily classroom activities
- Support small groups in numeracy, literacy, and reading.
- Collaborate with teachers to meet pupils' individual needs.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including those with Autism and behavioural challenges.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a primary school setting.
- Confidence in supporting learners with ALN.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in a 1:1 support role.
- Recognised Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
