Full-Time LSA (Learning Support Assistant) - Barry
We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a primary school in Barry on a full-time basis, working in a KS2 class. The role is to cover a maternity leave, likely starting in late November.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
- Assisting children in small group settings, particularly in numeracy and literacy
- Providing 1:1 support to pupils where required, ensuring their academic and social needs are met
- Supporting the development of individual education plans (IEPs) for children with additional needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a supportive classroom environment
- Helping with classroom preparation and resources
Key Details:
- Full-time position (8:30am - 3:30pm)
- Pay: 84 per day
- Must have previous experience as an LSA in a primary school
- Must have a valid Enhanced DBS and be registered with the EWC
