Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in a young person's life? Axis are working with a school in Barry that is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a lovely Year 7 girl with a bespoke timetable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a student with trauma-based needs, attachment challengesand cognition difficulties.

  • Encourage a caring and nurturing environment to help build confidence and a sense of belonging.

  • Bring fresh ideas and initiative to support the student's learning and personal development.

  • Work closely with school staff to implement strategies that address challenging behaviours when they arise.

  • Offer emotional and academic support, promoting independence and self-esteem.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Ideally mature with a caring and empathetic nature.

  • Experience or understanding of trauma-informed approaches and attachment difficulties.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport.

  • Confidence in handling challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
