We are seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join our client's Adult Learning Disabilities Team in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities while enjoying the flexibility and benefits of locum work in one of the most scenic areas of the country.

The Role

As a Locum Social Worker in the Adult Learning Disabilities Team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of individuals, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring they receive the right support. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and carers to provide services that promote independence, well-being, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting assessments and reviews for adults with learning disabilities
  • Developing and managing individualised care plans aimed at improving quality of life
  • Working collaboratively with health professionals, carers, and external agencies
  • Advocating for individuals, ensuring their rights and choices are respected
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014

Requirements:
  • Degree in social care
  • Social Work Wales registration
  • 2+ years experience in Adult Social Care
