We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Barry. This role will involve providing dedicated support to the Nursery Class, assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, promoting engagement and participation in learning activities.

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing resources and delivering planned lessons.

  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.

  • Deliver interventions as directed by the Teacher

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • Support children with additional learning needs where required.

  • Contribute to the overall well-being and safeguarding of pupils.

Requirements:
  • Experience working as an LSA in a Primary School setting is essential.

  • DBS certificate (Enhanced) - registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register.

  • Passion for supporting children's learning and development.

  • Knowledge of Foundation Phase curriculum is desirable.
