We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Barry. This role will involve providing dedicated support to the Nursery Class, assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences for young learners.
Key Responsibilities:-
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, promoting engagement and participation in learning activities.

Assist the class teacher in preparing resources and delivering planned lessons.

Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development.

Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Deliver interventions as directed by the Teacher

Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Support children with additional learning needs where required.

Contribute to the overall well-being and safeguarding of pupils.

Experience working as an LSA in a Primary School setting is essential.

DBS certificate (Enhanced) - registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register.

Passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Knowledge of Foundation Phase curriculum is desirable.
