Full-Time LSA (Learning Support Assistant) - Barry

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a primary school in Barry on a full-time basis, working in a KS2 class. The role is to cover a maternity leave, likely starting in late November.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
  • Assisting children in small group settings, particularly in numeracy and literacy
  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils where required, ensuring their academic and social needs are met
  • Supporting the development of individual education plans (IEPs) for children with additional needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a supportive classroom environment
