About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, ADHD, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and other SEN requirements. You'll work closely with a supportive team to deliver high-quality, tailored education that meets the individual needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the specific needs and abilities of SEN students.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic progress and emotional well-being.
- Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with SENCOs and other professionals.
- Implement behavior management strategies and provide support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working with SEN students in a school or PRU setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN provisions and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of SEN students.
