Join us at Vision for Education - Cardiff, where we're currently seeking experienced SEN Teachers to work in SEN Schools & Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) across the Vale of Glamorgan.

 

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, ADHD, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and other SEN requirements. You'll work closely with a supportive team to deliver high-quality, tailored education that meets the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the specific needs and abilities of SEN students.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic progress and emotional well-being.
  • Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with SENCOs and other professionals.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and provide support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience working with SEN students in a school or PRU setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN provisions and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of SEN students.
