Our Valued client is looking to recruit a Commissioniung Engineer on a long term contract basis.
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the Commissioning Engineer has the following role and responsibilities:
Key areas of responsibility include:
• Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ)
Demonstrating safety excellence by ensuring KPI and KPM measurements are No.1 in the region
Reviewing supply chain performance against KPIs and KPMs
Implementing and refreshing initiatives to improve behaviours relating to SHEQ
• General Management
To liaise with design and suppliers / sub-contractors to ensure that equipment is fully set up and commissioned at each project
Ensure technical input and expertise is best utilised
Ensures equipment is FAT tested and snag free prior to arrival on site
Timely production of regular reports to senior managers.
Responsible for input into the overall programme.
Ensure capture of installation, testing and commissioning data
Responsible for quality and snag free installation and commissioning
Client Facing
Input into Early Contractor Involvement process through site surveys of systems and equipment
Building and maintaining relationships within the Client organisation, particularly Service Delivery
Inputting to reports and other briefings to client management
Liaison with the client representatives from Asset Creation (AC) and Service Delivery (SD) on an ongoing basis
Liaison with the SAP for the project
Active participation in the Client’s Site COMM Cells
Carrying out training of the clients operational staff
• Technical
Knowledge and experience of the engineering discipline appropriate with the project scope
Full project cycle commissioning input (from outline design to final commissioning and handover)
Able to write commissioning plans
Able to write commissioning procedures
Able to carry out hands on commissioning activities
Electrical conversant to 17th or any subsequent edition of the Electrical Regulations
Demonstrated ability to understand the water and waste water treatment processes as a whole and commission in a structured manner
FAT testing and management of close out of defects found
Demonstrated ability to carry out trouble shooting
Management of Process / M&E through design refinement and scope change
Review electrical and/or mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, FDS documents, P&I documents and instigate required design change as and when necessary
Co-ordination of project commissioning activities and close liaison with any 3rd party Commissioning Engineer ensuring successful commissioning.
