Flexible People Ltd are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driverto work night shifts, for a well known and prestigious client of ours, based in Barton Le Clay.
The Forklift Driver has to have a Counterbalance qualification.
The Forklift Driver must have an externally accredited certificate.
The client are leading worldwide distributors of hazardous goods. The company have been established for over ninety years and are continuously expanding their business. The company are proud to have an in house Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor to ensure that all legislation is met, surrounding the goods that are being moved.
As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for operating the counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload materials in the warehouse. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the overall success of the operations.
The Duties are to include -
- Operating a forklift to safely and efficiently move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of items
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and locate items
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as inspecting and cleaning equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
The role is Monday to Friday. The hours are approximately starting at 4am and last 8-10 hours.
The salary is 12.82per hour including holiday.
To apply in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Warehouse experience, including knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Proficiency in operating a forklift and other materials handling equipment
- The ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift license
- A National Insurance Number
- A very good level of spoken English
