We are recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join a diverse manufacturingclient based near Barton Under Needwood
This role has been created due to business growth and the business are looking to add a new permanent member off staff for their team.
Successful candidates must be time-served or able to demonstrate a competency through experience to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications.
Candidates must have experience working with a range of manual machinery including Lathes, Millers and Vertical Borers. Experience working with various materials including Duplex/ Super Duplex is a must due to the nature of the work .
Hours - Monday - Friday 40 hours
All Overtime paid at Premium Rates after 40hours
The Ideal candidates will have :
- Experience working within a machine shop environment machining of both fabricated and cast components to fine tolerances in either single or batch quantities and in a variety of steel grades.
- The ability to read, understand and work to engineering drawings. overhead crane operating experience
The ability to manipulate any of the following:
- Vertical Borer
- Manual Lathe + Miller
Candidate Skills
- Ideally Time-served
- Demonstrable experience operating a Manual Vertical Borer/ Lathe and Miller to tight tolerances.
- Experience working with various materials including Duplex/ Super Duplex
