As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to develop a love for learning. Key Responsibilities of KS1 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons following the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular activities and events, fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to enhance the curriculum and support student development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Promote health and safety in all activities, ensuring students understand the importance of safe practices.

Requirements of KS1 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must.
  • Experience working within the classroom.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
  • Commitment to promoting a love for learning and curiosity about the world.
  • ECTs are welcome and encouraged to apply.

To work with GSL Education as a KS1 Teacher, you will need:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
