We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school team in Barton upon Humber. This role requires an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all disciplines of science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering all science disciplines.
  • Assess and record students' progress and prepare them for examinations.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the science curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings and whole school training events.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for science.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
