Due to a recent restructure, our client is recruiting a Finance Business Partner to support a growing business unit within their company.

The purpose of the role is to partner department managers by providing accurate and timely financial data, analysis, and interpretation, which drives best in class decision making and as a result optimises business performance.

You will ideally be a qualified accountant with a strong understanding of costings and budget management within an FMCG / manufacturing environment. This is a business partnering role; therefore you will have excellent communication and influencing skills with a proven ability to work closely with non-finance managers to guide key stakeholders and ensure decisions are made based on sound financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a leader within your business unit, developing a high performing team.
  • Budgets/forecasts and longer-term scenario planning to optimize performance, protect from threats and advise management on how to maximise opportunity.
  • Ensuring costings are accurate but challenging for the operation and ensure the Commercial teams are fully equipped with the correct information for negotiation, whilst maintaining tight governance over decision making to preserve and protect margin.
  • Use data and analysis to drive improvement through the operation and/or commercial space. Identify specific areas of under-performance/opportunity and bring them to life for management to act upon
  • Always maintain full control over balance sheet risk/opportunity, ensuring position is understood by management and acted upon accordingly. Identify and act on process weakness to ensure visibility and control maintained.
  • Lead the production of accurate and timely daily, weekly, periodic financial information, ensuring it is informative and understood by the organisation and drives actions and decisions in the best interest of the business.
