Progress Teachersare seeking dedicatedBehaviour Mentors & TA'sto support pupils with challenging behaviours to overcome a range of barriers to education and make positive progress within theirAlternative Provisions.

You will be working withSecondary aged pupils with behavioural needs that can stem from various learning difficulties (Autism, ADHD) and Mental Health disorders, to ensure they are fully supported throughout their educational journey to achieve maximum results!

Responsibilities:

  • Provideone-on-oneand group support to students withbehavioural challenges, implementingtailored behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
  • Monitor andassess student behaviour, identifying triggers and implementingproactive interventions.
  • Organise andlead workshops or training sessionsfor students, staff, and parents on behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Act as a liaisonbetween the school, parents, and external agencies involved in behaviour support.
  • Work closely with the school leadership team to contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour policies.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field (desirable)
  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role in an educational setting is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to behaviour support.
  • Certification in behaviour intervention or related field is a plus.
  • A valid DBS on the Update ServiceORbe willingness to obtain.
