Our client based in Basildon is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Financial Controller to join their team on permanent basis.

Job Purpose:

Provide support to the Finance Director by implementing and monitoring the Accounting Systems, Procedures, Policies and Projects. The main purpose of this role is cash flow management.

Duties:

  • Daily Cashflow management liaising with Supply chain management team, MP&L, Projects, AP & AR team.
  • Assisting with Management Accounts
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • ID Reconciliation including daily uploads and SDB reconciliation.
  • Assisting the Finance Director as required

Skills/Qualifications:

  • ACCA/CIMA qualification desired
  • Experience in cashflow management
  • Must have very strong Excel skills and the ability to use and create complex formulas.
  • Able to use other Microsoft office products.
  • Experience in a similar manufacturing role is preferable.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability.
  • Proactive and innovative.
  • To work effectively on your own and as part of a team, with a positive 'can-do’ attitude.
  • The ability to prioritise workload.
  • The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • A high standard of personal appearance.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am to 1:45pm

Salary: Negotiable from 50k, dependent upon experience

This role will be temporary via agency to start with and subject to satisfactory attendance and performance will become permanent after 12 weeks. Immediate start can be available.
