We are seeking a Management Accountant / Financial Controller for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role involves comprehensive management of financial records and processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple entities in the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel, and capable of handling a variety of financial tasks efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register and associated depreciation journals.
- Manage salary and stock records, including posting relevant journals.
- Conduct freight, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany recharge analyses and updates.
- Handle VAT returns for four entities across the UK and Ireland.
- Prepare and analyse sales vs cost of sales, and post adjustment journals at month-end.
- Produce weekly Management Information (MI) reports detailing Year-To-Date and forecasted group gross profit by customer.
- Process daily bank payments and manage monthly bank reconciliations.
- Review and process employee expenses and manage invoice financing.
- Set weekly/monthly foreign exchange rates on Sage for all entities and update schedules.
- Extract and review online sales reports and manage drawdowns from payment facilities like PayPal, Shopify, and ClearPay.
- Serve as the main point of contact for annual audits and manage a small finance team.
- Proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing financial processes for multiple entities, ideally in both the UK and Ireland.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements in GBP, EUR, and USD.
- Capable of handling complex financial tasks and providing accurate financial information.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage and support the finance team.
- Relevant financial qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are preferred.
