An exceptional family-run business in Essex is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their fast-growing team. Day to day of the role:- Engage in all aspects of finance, including sales ledger and purchase ledger accounting.
- Perform reconciliations and handle high volume payment runs with precision.
- Utilise mainstream accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks effectively.
- Communicate with a diverse range of customers and suppliers.
- Work independently and within a team, taking initiative when necessary.
- Multitask and meet tight deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a broad-based accounting role.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with a passion for achieving organisational targets.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn and grow within the sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
- Strong reconciliation skills and experience with high volume payment runs.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
