We are supporting a growing company who are looking for a Sales Executive to be based in their Basildon office, working Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (with a one-hour unpaid lunch). The salary is up to 40,000 depending on your experience, with a 5,000 annual car allowance. This will be a remote position with the ability to work flexibly, including some office attendance, so you must be within a commutable distance to Basildon.

You must hold a full UK driving license with full access to a vehicle as you will be required to frequently travel across several regions. You will also receive a competitive bonus structure based on targets and company growth.

Duties will include:

  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and overseas clients/agents
  • Utilise your sales and communication skills to influence and negotiate
  • Liaise and build rapport with existing clients & follow up of prospective customers
  • Represent the company professionally with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Track & manage the CRM system
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to develop and enhance client portfolios

To be successful you must be a skilled sales individual with the ability to focus and work proactively to achieve targets, ideally with a good understanding of logistics processes and procedures. You must be able to independently prioritise and organise your own workload, with good attention to details. Ideally you will have freight industry knowledge with experience of importing and exporting, although this is not essential if you possess strong sales skills within a logistics background.
