Monday-Friday days- 9/10 Month Maternity cover with possibilities of being made permanent

The company:

Based in South Essex, you will be joining a well-known manufacturing company in the fuel industry, working in several industries such as motorsport, aviation, automotive and more.Due to maternity leave, they are seeking an experienced Fuel Technician with laboratory experience to join their team on an initial 9/10-month fixed-term contract.

This contract is likely to lead to a more permanent opportunity.The Fuel Technician will be responsible for the execution and coordination of multiple projects as well as the formulation of fuels, ensuring site production remains highly efficient.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of Projects
  • Work with the fuels and lab teams to define fuel formulations
  • Troubleshooting of problems during fuel blending processes.
  • Identify new applications for fuel products
  • Assist in raw material blend component specification, sourcing, testing and approval

This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other duties will be required.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience in a similar role within a lab environment
  • Degree level educated in Chemistry (or equivalent)
  • Minimum laboratory experience (familiarity with standard fuel test methods)
  • Project management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
