Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Executive Liaison Officer for a local authority client based in Essex.

In this role, you will provide executive support to the Chief Executive, Leader, and Strategic Directors, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling confidential correspondence, and ensuring effective communication between senior officers and political leaders.

Key Duties:

  • Provide executive support to the Chief Executive, Leader, and Strategic Directors, managing schedules and preparing briefings.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage casework, and handle sensitive correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organise corporate events, conferences, and prepare reports, documents, and business cases.
  • Monitor political and policy developments, ensuring alignment with the Council's objectives and strategic planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives or political leaders in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
  • Experience liaising with internal teams, external partners, and high-level stakeholders, including Government Ministers and MPs.
  • Experience organising corporate events, preparing reports, and managing administrative tasks for senior leadership.
  • Experience dealing with confidential and sensitive issues, ensuring discretion and professionalism.

What's on offer:

Salary: £17.50+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
